Steph's interest in music started at a very early age, beginning piano lessons at the age of four. Through her school years she toured as part of an award-winning percussion group, performed regularly in music festivals, and musical theatre.
She successfully completed her grades and went on to study music at University. Her final BMus dissertation won the South African Music Society competition and was published in the Journal of the Musical Arts in Africa.
She is currently doing her PhD at UCL Institute of Education with a focus on music education.
Steph has been teaching for over 35 years, offering tuition for beginners through to advanced students.
Each lesson is tailored to the individual with the aim of developing the student’s natural creative abilities and skills through creative exploration and discovery.
She is also an active researcher in the field of music education and education in general.
